A Vision Born from Sacred Scripture

The Centers of Mercy are physical centers of service, prayer, and Biblical formation — built and operated by consecrated religious congregations and funded in part by Exegesis Biblica's mission. Every subscription to Exegesis Biblica contributes to the construction and operation of these centers. At the heart of this mission is a simple Catholic truth: mercy is not an idea to admire from a distance. Mercy must be embodied. It must have hands to feed, rooms to shelter, voices to teach, sisters and brothers to console, and communities willing to stand near those whom the world too often forgets.

Matthew 25:35 — "For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in."

What Are the Centers of Mercy?

Centers of Mercy are multi-wing Catholic service center facilities built by three founding congregations and handed over to an operating congregation upon completion. Each facility is designed as a hub for a region — part relief, part formation, part long-term uplift — so help doesn't vanish when a news cycle ends. Each Center of Mercy is a multi-wing facility with 13 wings dedicated to serving the poor, sick, elderly, orphans, widows, and marginalized people.

Dedication order: Center #1 — St. Francis of Assisi, Center #2 — St. Clare of Assisi, Center #3 — St. Benedict of Nursia, Center #4 onward — in order of founding charism.

The Three Founding Congregations

• Poor Clare Colettines (P.C.C.) — contemplative foundation, prayer covering, intercession over the build
• Dominican Order (Order of Preachers) — administrative coordination, structure, logistics, Biblical formation

Every Center of Mercy is structured around 13 wings of service, each addressing a distinct dimension of human suffering:

1. Food Wing — hot meals, pantry, food drives
2. Clean Water & Basic Needs Wing — water, hygiene kits, emergency essentials
3. Clothing Wing — dignified clothing distribution
4. Shelter & Transitional Housing Wing — short-term beds, case management
5. Medical & Nursing Care Wing — clinic services, referrals
6. Disability Support Wing — mobility aid, accessible transport
7. Elder Care Wing — companionship, meals, home-needs support
8. Orphans & Family Care Wing — foster-family assistance, family stabilization
9. Widows & Women's Support Wing — safe accompaniment, pastoral care
10. Counseling & Trauma Recovery Wing — grief support, crisis counseling
11. Education & Work Skills Wing — literacy, job readiness, training
12. Chapel & Sacramental Life Wing — prayer, catechesis, Mass coordination
13. Animal Mercy Wing — care for abandoned animals, veterinary partnerships
